Grass-Fed Lamb & Wool Products
Nestled in the picturesque foothills of the Green Mountains, our small farm is dedicated to raising Clun Forest. Known for their hardy nature and exceptional wool, Clun Forest sheep produce fine, versatile fleece and flavorful meat. We’re passionate about preserving this historic breed, nurturing them with care to ensure their unique qualities thrive in our sustainable, pasture-based system.
Meet the Farmer & Shepherd
For over a decade, since 2015, I’ve been passionately stewarding the land, beginning with the purchase of an abandoned city lot in Troy, NY. I’ve transformed this neglected space into a vibrant urban garden and workshop, a hub of sustainable agriculture that nourishes and connects our community. In March 2024, I expanded my efforts to a historic garden on Simmons Island in Cohoes, NY, owned by a Polish-Ukrainian family. This nearly century-old plot, lovingly tended by the Sloboda family for generations, had lain fallow for a decade. We’re now revitalizing its rich, fertile soil to serve as the heart of our herb and vegetable production, honoring its legacy while shaping its future.Together, these two urban gardens, spanning a quarter acre, are meticulously cared for year-round, forming the cornerstone of our sustainable crop production. In Hoosic, NY, our 15-acre sheep pasture is being thoughtfully restored, with our flock helping to reclaim and rejuvenate the land for future use.
